damn comment limit!

Going back on the previous post,
I tried to post this as a comment, but I guess I exceeded the limit.
Anyway, heres my take on this latest piece of sh*t that Durst
is claiming to be worth listening to.

Looks like somebody beat me to it.
But im glad they did.
I didnt have time the past week to post this up myself.
I read up on it on the MTV website while reading a story on either A Perfect Circle or Rage.
Anyway, it seems our 'biter extraordinaire' Durst, got some sort of inspiration from listening to Rage's sound. Not too sure what albums he meant. But it seems he got a vision or his conscious woke up that he now wants to create music with 'truth' behind it, which is a pretty comical, after listening to this song.

Buddy, the only truth is...you suck!
Accept THAT truth.

Sure, Ill give em some credit for the second album which was a major shift from what they released on the 3 dollar bill or whatever, but the 3rd one was what killed it. Showed how f*ckn stupid he is or how he really isnt about 'the truth', nothing more than a m-fn gimmick. Cause the first album was ok, I remember when I was first introduced to them through a friend an he said, the closest band he could compare them to might be Rage but without the message. But after the last album and in some part, the second album, you could see that they werent really that good.
Cause Ill admit, I liked some off of Significant Other esp the one he did with Method Man and Scott W [since hey I like STP as well] but for him to come out wit this sh*t now?!!

MF is on some other level of stupidity it seems.

After listening to the song, the intro seemed too long of a build up. I liked the idea, but it just took too damn long for me. The bass riff or whatever that opens it sounded good.
His chorus I guess is "imagine accepting the truth"
which sounds pretty funny, cause apparently he cant accept the truth that his band ...simply, well, sucks.
On the article @ MTV where he describes the sound for this new album, which is even more insulting, titled; The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) as having more guitars than ever an that they sound 'brutal' or whatnot, I dont see it on this song. The sound is too distorted for me and its sounds like its the same two riffs repeated endlessly. There seems to be no solo there, just an interlude or whatever before it goes back to the repetitive riffs.
So wheres the new brutal heavy sound?
Or was this mp3 you guys put up really crappy?...

Total running time: 5:29
I then did a quick comparison wit the closest Rage song that had the same running time
Got back, Wind Below, Fistful of Steel, and Ghost of Tom Joad.
All kickass songs in their own right, wit awesome music and dope lyrics with a message.
Now you tell me, compare the lyrical content, the guitars, hell the bass and drums too.
Is this new song where those left off?!!

F*CK NO!

please, explain to me how you can claim this garbage:
You can't sleep, you're restless
and slightly obsessed with falling too deep
and malfunction, you're a virus

replaces something like this:
Flip this capital eclipse
Tha vocal tone has got 'em sweatin' their own apocalypse
Yes, rebel of tha grains stand masterless
Tha masked ones cap one
NAFTA comin' with tha new disaster

or this: [mind you the guitar intro alone is better than this truth song]

Silence
Something about silence makes me sick
'Cause silence can be violent
Sorta like a slit wrist

If the vibe was suicide
Then you would push da button
But if ya bowin' down
Then let me do the cuttin'

Some speak the sounds
But speak in silent voices
Like radio is silent
Though it fills the air with noises
Its transmissions bring submission
As ya mold to the unreal
And mad boy grips the microphone
Wit' a fistful of steel

Heres some links of reference about this sh*t you might want to check out;

Honestly, what was this mf thinking when he made these claims???
Hands down, if this were strictly about lyrical assault.
Id bet my life that Zack would take em, although Id like to see that actually.
Just to see what Zack would drop on Fred.
Seriously tho, cmon, this mf has no style whatsoever.
Typical of many mfs in the rap game at the moment but thats another topic.
Hell just for the hell of it, has anyone found or is listening to an artist who has the same type of delivery that Zack has?

...yea, his damn solo project is taking forever, even tho,
Im actually looking forward to it, since its going to show him in the hip hop flows where he's proven he can deliver.
I strongly suggest anyone interested to check out Immortal Technique's albums.
Revolutionary Vol.1 & 2, with strong emphasis on the Vol.2
If Zack drops an album wit that type of message and power,
It'd be dope as f*ck.

I leave you guys with this now:
found it online a while back, during the RNC convention earlier this year.
Cant remember the site I picked it up from but it was a rage community Im sure.
Eyes Upon The Eyes

You're the eyes upon the eyes
and upon the battons
that pound voices and bones
that erase memories of home

You're the eyes upon the eyes
in the days before the fall
you're the eyes upon the eyes
that are watching us all

To witness the barricades and
the wire they place around our hearts
your document is proof that
there is a fire in the dark

You're the eyes upon the eyes
in the days before the fall
and it's your eyes that stop
their lies from burying us all

Zack de La Rocha

Long live RAGE!
ps. sorry for the long post
