Sometimes, I can't believe my luck. I had no idea ... I couldn't imagine that she would like me too. I didn't think it was possible and I didn't dare to hope. I felt as if I were reaching for the Sun but could never grasp it.
Except I wasn't really making the effort to reach, sadly. And still, the Sun noticed and came down anyways.
She likes me. And is willing to put up with me despite all my failures and faults. The thought of it makes me smile from within. The most beautiful, intelligent and amazing woman in the world likes me.
Even more amazing still is that Percival is happy for me. I had thought - falsely, on my part - that he had an interest in her too. At least from the way he used to flirt with her. But that's not the case, thankfully, and I don't have to worry about any enmity from him. He's my best friend and the last thing I want is for us to fight over Lady Chris.
Hm, now what to do. I want to do something special for Lady Chris but I'm not sure what. I'll have to look around and see what I can arrange ...
