Prompt - Antique Word count 67

Maybe it was the feel of the smooth polished mahogany on her bare ass cheeks, or the musky smell of books in the room. Maybe it was the vision of the silver haired woman, who was kneeling between her spread legs.

All Andrea knew for certain was that this was the single most erotic moment of her life and she prayed that this Kittinger table would hold her weight.

Prompt - Bereft

The office was a bustle of activity. Milan fashion week was looming, they had two location shoots in progress; which were going less than to plan. And to top it off Andy and Emily were fielding calls in tandem from the gutter press. As Miranda’s latest toy boy scandal was splashed all over the tabloids.

It was Emily who took the call…

Andy had been despatched on an emergency Starbucks run. In growing desperation for her return Emily had decided, it was time to sacrifice a lone calorie and popped a tic-tac in her mouth. Cursing aloud as the desk phone rang.

“Fuck…” Emily swallowed the tic-tac whole. ‘Damn you Sachs’ (for some reason it was always Andy’s fault) “Miranda Priestly’s office.”

Several minutes later: from her inner sanctum, Miranda heard Emily replace the receiver into its cradle, a chilled silence hung in the air.

“Emily?” Miranda called her first assistant into the office.

‘Oh, bloody hell’ Emily didn’t know if she had the strength for this.

Seeing the look on Emily’s face, Miranda feared the worst. “Well spit it out then!”

“It was Andrea’s Mother, her Father has passed away. I’m sorry Miranda, I know you don’t like personal calls but she said she had tried…”

“Quiet, silly girl!” Miranda chastised the young woman with her world famous glare. “Send Andrea to me as soon as she returns. Cancel my afternoon appointments.”

Prompt - Clavicle

Heels...Beautiful, Seductive. The ultimate image of la femme fatale and a non-negotiable requirement for employment within Runway.

Running in heels, now that was a talent. A talent that Andrea Sachs hadn’t quite mastered yet. Seriously, they needed to issue a public health warning every time she was forced to change gear in anything more than two inches.

Several bruises, stitches and one snapped bone later, Andy found herself sitting in a hospital bed with an even bigger bruise to her ego. The distinctive sound of Jimmy Choo reverberated down the long corridor, she could recognise that sway anywhere. The young woman braced for impact.

Prompt - Discordant
Word count 101

Unbeknownst to the common man Miranda Priestly rarely disliked anyone. The fact was, most people didn’t even register on Miranda’s radar for her to have the chance to dislike them.

There was one woman however; who was guaranteed to make Miranda blood boil and that woman was Jacqueline Follet.

From the very moment they had met nearly 15 years ago. They had been at loggerheads. Both women seemingly took pleasure inflicting, contributing or even just hearing about the others pain.

Make no bones about it; Jacqueline had gone too far this time. Miranda would not stop until she had destroyed her.

Prompt - Enchant
Word count 187

The dare had been set, a king dare if you will. The forfeit was no phone sex for a week (an addiction that Miranda currently craved to get her through her day.) Miranda was stubborn as hell and Andy knew that. She would play this to her advantage.

The Runway Halloween ball was tonight. Emily in a moment of madness, had booked a karaoke, yet to everyone’s surprise Miranda had not rejected the idea, simply insisted on a live band that could play any song she might ask for.

The second condition was even more unusual for Miranda’s tastes and Emily could not fathom what on earth Miranda was planning but, she knew that Andrea Sachs had something to do with it.

The alcohol had been free flowing for a good hour; Miranda had indulged in a couple of shots herself. Needing a little Dutch courage, she would not fail at this challenge.

The three women of the Priestly office stood on the stage in full costume, Miranda didn’t do things by halves. The music started and her sultry tones instantly hypnotised every person in the room.
