Depression runs through my family, and one of my brothers has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, so I have a bit of an idea of where you're coming from. I think it's so good that you're grieving your diagnosis, because recognizing it and coming to terms with it is a really important step to take before you can move on through recovery. Know that you're not alone; there are so many people with Bipolar disorder, and you can get through this - it is not a damning sentence. You will have joy in your life -- just take it one day, one minute, one second at a time if you have to!
Take care of yourself -- you are worth it, truly.
