You're totally right.
I mean, physically, you can't really tell the difference between honey-nut cheerios and regular cheerios. But upon closer inspection, you can tell they're way better. Fruit loops are more of a surfacle "oh I look better than you and stand out more so I am better than you" kind of thing.
Honey-nut cheerios or more of a "what's inside is what counts" kind of cold cereal.
