You're one of the few, the proud with whom I'd most like to explore D.C. this summer.

I did some research and found the following:
D.C. has a train station.
Well, I knew that already. D.C. is a major hub for train traffic.
Union Station is (besides being a kickass bluegrass band backing up the great Allison Krauss) a real place. It has LOTS of trains.
The train? Is an eleven hour trip. Fares are between $58 ad $69 one-way.
The bus? Is an eleven hour trip. Fares are between $70-80 round-trip.
Hitching a ride on the back of a vegetable truck? Is long and sweaty and perfumed with cabbage. And if you get arrested and jailed, the resultant damage to your future is a lot more than either the train or the bus.

If there's any way you can come, I would be delighted to host you.
