Denise, you are NOT a bad person. Nobody is perfect and we all have our moments. The fact that you recognize that that was one of yours and that you feel bad about it, proves that you are indeed a good person.

I'm probably just echoing what others have already said, but it's not your fault that the sales clerk didn't know her job. And as far as coming in a half-hour before the place closed, so what? You weren't banging on the door after hours. If the place is open, they're open. Don't feel bad about it. You shouldn't have had to verify the company's policy; it's the employee's place to know this stuff, and if she is unsure, the correct answer is to find out, not to guess or err on the side of denying the customer service.

You're hardly a bad person. I think Staples owes you an apology for failing to adequately abide by their own policy. Had they done that, you'd have walked away happy. So don't feel bad. They screwed up, not you.

Please don't say that you are a bad person. Everyone has a bad day, a bitchy moment, times when our emotions get the better of us. This is known as being human. Try not to be so hard on yourself, honey. It makes me sad to read that you are attacking yourself like this. You are my friend and deserve respect and love, especially from yourself.

If you believe yourself to be correct you did what I believe is the right thing. You should NEVER apoligize for standing up for what you believe is right. It says a lot for your character. The guilt I fear may be someone elses voice in your head. Follow your gut. (However, as I have found out in life, smiling while standing your ground gets you farther faster. As I have seen your wonderous smile for 4 years now, you have no problem with that:) *hugs*

As others have already said, you are NOT a bad person. There were 30 minutes left till they closed, which is plenty of time for the copying that you needed to do. Had the girl and her manager understood company policy you would have been out of there before the closing time. Despite the way we complain when customers come in that last half hour, we are being bitchy. We are paid to do our job right up to closing time. Its not like it was five minutes to closing time.
Also, you were perfectly right to call customer service. They did not know the policy, so you called to find out what it was. Really, you would be doing a good thing if you went back and told them what you were told. No guarentees that they will ever be corrected otherwise, and some other person may be turned away like you were.
But all of that aside, the way you are always so forgiving of others and so tough on yourself is part of who you are, and I love you for it. I would probably still be fuming about it three days later and blaming the girl and the manager.

1. You have great pheromones. i wish i had your pheromones! ;D
2. You should write something creative, even if it's just a free-form paragraph. Sit down and let the words flow. It'll be good for you!
3. Light Violet, with a pink shimmer.
4. i love how well you balance your life. You're always a bit reponsible, and a bit crazy. A bit organized, and a bit messy. You keep yourself centered, not allowing any one part of your personality to outweigh the other aspects. i know that's a bit odd, but that's what i love the most about you!
5. i know we met at EHSYF, but the first time i really remember was at orientation when you waved to my dad, and had to ask my name ;D
6. i'm not quite sure why, but a dolphin. That was my first thought, so i'm just going to go with it...
