The end of your first paragraph reminded me of a song, "Emma Blowgun's Last Stand," by Beulah. "All you need is a gun and a car. A country song, if you don't have a heart, about cowboys and indians and their palsied dominions where the highway's not far, but all you know the shadow are ghosts don't let it scare you away." Has nothing to do with what you wrote, but it does lead into my first suggestion: Listen to Beulah. As much of it as you can. Beulah rocks for driving music if the weather is good. For games, hmm. Well, the last major road trip I made was when we were heading to Florida for Sea Base, but that was 6 years ago, and I didn't have to drive. There's always the classic I Spy, you can also throw in some curveballs by just making up stuff and seeing if the other person can guess what you're thinking of. Myself though, I tend to just listen to music and groove. And sing. Sorry, I'm not much use for this; I haven't done a road trip recently. Also I'm too consumed with jealousy to think straight, heheh ( ... )

Anyone who knows who Beulah is makes "the cool list" instantly. It's like canonization: if you're a martyr, you don't have to have miracles attributed to you to be canonized. If you know who Beulah is, you just make the list. That's all there is to it. KT, your sister rocks.
