The version I'd heard involved crows and went thusly:

One crow sorrow,
Two crows joy,
Three a girl,
And four a boy,
Five crows silver,
Six crows gold,
Seven crows a secret never to be told.

And they're pure awesome, btw. Gorrrgeous.
