Fern on ferns is a hen and chick(en?) fern.

I'm going to have to go back through this and read it properly, but I have to say I'm pretty jealous since I haven't been able to go tiki-touring like that yet :P

Oh my god, all of these look absolutely amazing! I'm so glad that you did a huge post like this because I love getting to hear all about your adventures.

So many of these photos are just breathtaking. I've definitely saved a few for my "inspiration" folder!

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing all your lovely photographs!!

I've heard before from Californians that New Zealand is like nothing more than California; I've heard from Oregonians that it's a lot like Oregon. To me, it looks like it has elements of all of the American west--including Alaska and Hawaii--and things that don't fit in any of those places. I'm dying to go, and even more so after your generous visuals. Cheers!
