WHOOOAAAH!!! A post just for me!! :D Thanks for taking the photos. I love how they look like snakes. Fat, fat, fat short little snakes (that have legs.) I heard they make good pets, but another website was like "They like to bite you really hard and NEVER LET GO!" so I'm not really sure who to believe. I mean, Australians are all crazy people who like to wrestle alligators and poisonous things, so of course they'd thing that scary evil things make great pets.

...I still want one. And I think I want to put one in my story somehow. Also, this. Not quite as bizarre, but still really strangely cute.

These guys do make pretty good pets. I find them to be cute little tanks, since they're tough as nails.

It's true that they bite really effin' hard though. I've never been biten, and I don't ever want to be lol. Their temperament is something that can be easily worked on. Just like any snakes and other reptiles, just handle often and they'll be nice and tame. Be even better to get a baby from one that's been captive bred, wild ones can be pretty crazy and harder to care for.

I don't actually personally own one, but a close friend of mine practically has a...zoo (lol) with them being 70% of his stock. I've been over to help feed them/clean their bins and stuff so yeah. You should get one, they're awesome. :D

I would love to get one, but aside from living in a school facility that wouldn't let me (not like that would stop me, I know people who sneak pets in all the time) but do they even exist outside of Australia? D:

Ohh yes they do. Even though they're not supposed to be exported, shit still happens :D Just need to know the right people and where to look.

I definitely don't live in Australia, I'm actually in the US. If you're interested in getting one (two, three or whatever) I can talk to my friend and can probably help you out. He's VERY knowledgeble about blue-tongue skinks. Been working with them for about 15-20 years.

Ahhh blue-tongue!! Looks like an eastern? My friend would've loved to be in your shoes right then in there. Probably would have tried to catch it to take a better look, too lol.

Makes sense given I live in eastern Aus :P
It would've been pretty easy to catch, my main problem is I was walking alongside and then had to stop to take a picture, so he got ahead of me.

It always used to be lol when the tiny skinks in the garden (inch or two long) bit me. Most of them were scared, but the ones with orange eyes and speckled tails were pretty aggressive like that. Pain, there was none. xD
