I enjoyed this a lot! I liked that there were echoes from their school days, but the focus remained on their dynamic as adults. And what an attractive dynamic and what nicely-grown up adults they are. :) I love Pansy's wit and elegance and Ron's honesty and self-awareness, and that they're moved on enough from the past to give each other a chance.

I adored this little bit of dialogue:

“Gryffindor, I presume?” My answer was choked by a chortle. She slapped lightly at my arm. “Oh, give it a rest! I can appreciate the irony, I assure you.”

“Don’t worry; he may have inherited his looks from Harry, but all the smarts and charm come strictly from the Weasley side of the family,” I teased.

“Fabulous,” was her soul-withering response, but the laughter in her eyes made it hard to believe she was upset.

And Hermione/Viktor in the background FTW! ♥ And of course Ron would be a tad sore that it's Krum of all people. *pets him*

As for communities, you could post this to frillypinkrobes and hprarepairs, and a directory search tells me that you have pansyxron, though I don't ( ... )

YAY! You are first to review!

Oh, thank you, darling! I am SO pleased that you enjoyed this. I appreciate your feedback on the characterizations. And yes, if I was going to break them up, naturally I would pair Hermione with Viktor!

I am ever so grateful for the suggested communities. I have posted the story at all 3 sites. *hugs you* I appreciate you SO much!

I loved this! Ron is so in character... still a bit surly as he is in canon, yet mature now, and very Gryffindor in his reactions to Pansy. And it's nice to read about a Pansy who has led a nice life, even if she has had her share of sadness.

You could post it at http://www.thepetulantpoetess.com or http://owl.tauri.org.

Oh, thank you so much for your lovely comments! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the story! And thanks for the recommendations on where to post. I have never had much luck with OWL because they will not let me use a yahoo email acct and I am too lazy to get another one. But I will look into the Petulant Poetess!

(Look, you've made me all exclamation point-y!)

I really enjoyed this. In fact, I was sad to see it end. It really has potential for more as a relationship between the two would be an interesting development.

Great job.

When you said you were sad to see it end, I squealed with glee!

I left it open ended, thinking (more like hoping, really) that I will get back to this someday and carry if forward. I love the idea of finding second love when something has gone amiss the first time around...

Thank you SO much for letting me know what you thought!

I completely agree as someone who married her ninth love of her life 0:) There are also several different challenges in a relationship after losing a loved one to death than when the relationship ends, which is fantastic for an author to explore 0:)
