I'm fine. Busy trying to stay physically healthy, financially solvent, academically viable, romantically attended-to, and familially responsible ( Read more... )

Agreed. Cheatcodes for life would rock. I'd summon a giant monster. The big black alien thingy from SimCity.

I'd be like "//summon//black" and this massive thing would descend from the heavens and stomp.

Stomp stomp stomp.

Your icon is so fabulous it's unreal.

Yes, it's pretty crazy. I can partly blame hormones/biological clock/etc., of course, but I'm also just... I don't know, really into babies.

Thanks! I didn't make it, and I don't know who did. I wish I did, so I could credit them. Someone found it and sent it to me.

You'd be a spectacular mother, Kate. I mean, absolutely spectacular.

Gosh, that whole scene was just so.....adjectives fail me.

Thank you. I really, really appreciate that. I definitely hope you're right. Just the whole idea of developing a new person...well, it's a sufficiently big deal that we certainly want to do it right.
So thank you very much.
...it's probably a sign of extreme geekiness that we discuss things like what age will probably be best to start our kids on Tolkein, isn't it?

I get those baby cravings too, and I'm not even married. Then I remind myself of the changing of the diapers, waking upto screaming in the middle of the night, and trying with no avail to stop my child from crying. After that, I'm pretty much fine with just me and my hubby. =)

"But Oh," the Erathians would say, "It's so much easier to handle when you're young!"

it really depends on the person to whom you are talking. not being financially stable but young is not an ideal situation to raise a kid. being older, wiser, financially stable does make more sense to me.

*hugs* Ignore the pressure. You'll know when you're ready to have a rugrat. It's not easy and shouldn't be decided on lightly.

Yes, I really do wish life had cheatcodes. That would rock.

Hope things are going well. We miss you in the chats. *hugs*
