The Prestige did not get an Oscar nomination for best adapted screenplay.

On the bright side, Peter O'Toole, rather than, as some NYT critics were suggestiong, Sasha B. Cohen, got an acting nomination.

Oscars? Hmmm....can't influence them...

Already did! Voted for you. Although I'm embarrassed to admit that I wasn't paying enough attention at the time. I didn't realize it was more specifically geared towards British comics, so I mentioned American things in situations that weren't specifically about American comics.

That's okay, everyone's voting for US stuff anyway...

The whole awards are a bit of a farce really.

After all, I appear to be nominated in a category that I have no published work in....
