A little tact with the people you know won't kill you. Fights don't need to be picked. Points can be made without being Driven Into the Goddamn Ground.

I agree with OWH and think that friendship is in fact quite the opposite--friendship is the understanding that the other person will never wrong you or hurt you intentionally. this is why I never ever get into fights if I can help it--why fight if we can both be sure the other is trying their best to act with their friend's interests in mind?

Obviously. And I like to pick my conversations accordingly. But if for some reason, one can't avoid, one can at least know when to hush.
