One of the nice things about living next door to a bed-and-breakfast is that you sometimes get to listen in on some wonderful live music from private parties held there.  I've heard pipers and harpers, jazz bands and R&B on many a weekend, and it's pretty neat

We have neighbors who had a son who was the drummer a rock band that only knew 3 songs and played them constantly for an entire summer.

I feel your pain, but at least they eventually switched to bards in a box!
