Its easy to get caught up in the media's version of "things" and even I admit to not seeing the whole story before coming to a conclusion. Especially in this case.
I watched John Stewards take on the incident and began to wonder if there was more to the story as no follow-up was made.

I knew the basic's of what Pat Robertson was talking about from my history classes but not why he brought it up at all during that moment... until I found the whole transcription. Made MUCH more sense when you look at it in context.

As for the religion of VooDoo itself, many people I know view it as nothing more than Hocus-Pocus, magic and something you read about on books or see in the movies. While I know enough about the religion to hold my own in a typical conversation, this is only because when I'm curious about something, I make the effort to know more about it. I wish others would take the effort to get both sides of the story before drawing a conclusion.
