Dressing up for D&D goes against the very nature of the game unless you're dressed up like a fantasy character. Silly girls.

Also, what author?

I know, right? And we don't do LARPing, so cosplay isn't that common.

Yeah, we have LARPers here; they're interesting. It probably would be funnish, but they take it pretty seriously here, which I probably couldn't do. I'd be too amused by the whole concept.

I indeed know Gerald Morris. I have The Squire, His Knight, and His Lady somewhere though I haven't read it in ages. Coolness.

On a semi-related topic, I think you read Tamora Pierce's blog on here. Her recent post about Alpha Teen Writers Workshop that she's presented at for the last seven years makes me wish entirely too hard that I was still 19 and able to go. I would die completely and utterly to see/meet her. Why does she never manage to make appearances as far west as MN? (headdesk)

I would probably get into it. I blame my love of costumes. Like my swiftly growing steampunk wardrobe, which I will not wear unless I have occasion.

Yeah. That'd be William's dad, as a note.

Yes, I saw it. She doesn't appear in MN because we fail at having metropolis-like areas. Epic fail.
