I like this thing, it is a scene that I know and I love but I didn't write it, so it's all the joy and revelry with none of the work.

Is there context to this? Prose is gorgeous as always, but I have the niggling feeling I should know something about this and can't put my finger on it.

You have such a good eye for this kind of thing, skdfsdk. I guess it should not surprise me at this point, BUT STILL.

I don't know what to say. It's not based on a fandom source, and there's no pre-existing prose about these guys; howevarrr, they are part of a story that I made up when I was a kid and I recently had a dream that reminded me of my old ... vision? Of them! So I suppose I'm writing like I just rediscovered an old beloved series, haha.

Overall I am super jazzed that it made you curious, omg!

Ohh! So much love. ♥ --> "Brown like an egg yolk ruined in the pan"; "They blacken their eyes with burned plant matter that sometimes makes them feel segmented..."

But word to empath_eia's comment too, I wish I knew the context. But it's gripping on its own.

Eee, I am glad you enjoyed it, this gives me fuzziness of the heart! :'3 Thank you for this comment, I must snuggle it~

Context is sort of tricky in this case. This is a scene from an old story I made up as a kid! The memory of it exploded into my brain a little while ago and hasn't let go. The power of nostalgia can be insaaaane, sdfjfd.
