A/N: This is actually from a while back. I just didn't bother posting it up here because I'm a lazy ass
Kyuhyun lay on his bed, smiling as he stared at the ceiling while thinking back to the day before.
It was Super Junior's 6th Anniversary. Everyone celebrated, even some of the workers from the SM building. Not a lot of artists can make it this far, so every member considered this as a blessing. The Super Junior homepage was flooded with congratulatory messages, Kyuhyun wondered how the servers didn't crash. And not to mention the wave of tweets and shout outs every member received from ELF around the world. Even Hankyung, who was doing his own successful thing in China, seemed to be holding a little celebration party of his own (thanks to Heechul who informed the members).
All the excitement were dwindling down as schedules soon followed. The members were allowed to rest for a day; some left to visit their parents, others went out to enjoy themselves with their old friends.
Kyuhyun stayed in the dorm, preferring his time alone. A soft knock on the door to his room halted his train of thoughts as he craned his neck to see who it was.
"Sungmin-hyung?" Kyuhyun asked as his pink-lowing hyung entered the room with a small smile. He sat up on his bed, holding his pillow. "I thought you were spending sometime with your parents and Sungjin?"
"I just got back," Sungmin said, sitting on the edge of Kyuhyun's bed. "We ended it early because Sungjin has school. I would love to stay longer, but Sungjin comes first. Did you call your parents?"
Kyuhyun nodded. "Yeah, but they were a bit busy, so I mostly talked to noona. But she was busy as well, so our conversation was cut short."
"Oh," Sungmin mumbled, giving Kyuhyun an apologetic look. "I'm sorry you didn't get to spend some time with them."
Kyuhyun shrugged. "It's alright, I guess. I'll just have to make it up to them somehow."
Sungmin nodded, and the pair fell into comfortable silence with Sungmin lost in thought and Kyuhyun sneaking glances at his hyung.
To say that their relationship was to be taken in a romantic kind of way would be too... blunt. But Kyuhyun does acknowledge the fact that they both treat each other almost equivalent to how lovers treat one another, with the gentle smiles and roundabout teasing. He wasn't sure how he felt about Sungmin, and even if he was, he wasn't sure if he should voice out how his feelings.
"Kyu?" Sungmin asked softly, bringing Kyuhyun back to earth.
"Hm?"
"Do you mind if I... we..." Sungmin started, sounding unsure which made Kyuhyun smile a bit.
"If we what, hyung?" Kyuhyun urged with a small smile.
"If we... cuddled... tonight?" Sungmin whispered shyly, a light blush on his cheeks.
The maknae chuckled. "Seriously," he said, "how in the world are you my hyung?"
"Yah! Cho Kyuhyun!!" Sungmin said, taking the pillow that was in Kyuhyun's hands and throwing it at him. "Aish... just answer the question."
Kyuhyun laughed, letting his back fall onto the mattress and staying there. "Of course, hyung."
Sungmin grinned and crawled over next to Kyuhyun as they moved together in an attempt to find a comfortable position. They both ended up lying on their sides, Sungmin comfortably curled up against Kyuhyun's chest with one of the younger one's hands resting lazily on the elder's hip. Falling into comfortable silence once more, Kyuhyun hummed a tune as Sungmin played with the fabric of the maknae's shirt.
"Hyung...?" Kyuhyun whispered.
"Hm?"
"You know how SM literally shoved me into Super Junior with only 3 months of training right? And how I originally auditioned to be a soloist?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"What do you think would have happened if SM decided to prolong my trainee period and not put me in Super Junior?" this...
Sungmin remained silent, giving the question some good thought because truthfully, it was a hard question to answer. Kyuhyun's become a part of everyone's daily life in the past five and a half years, it feels awkward to not have him around.
"Well..." he said after a moment. "I guess we'll never actually get to meet each other and get to know personally. We might see each other in the SM building, but I guess we wouldn't have this... whatever this is. But if you were to debut as a soloist, I think you would go far. You have the voice and the look and the personality. What's not to love, right?"
"I guess..." Kyuhyun said after a pause, "but I don't think I'll make it this far if I'm a soloist."
"Huh? Why?" Sungmin asked, incredulous. "What happened to all that 'I'm the almighty Cho Kyuhyun' thing you sometimes go through?"
Kyuhyun gave Sungmin a look. "I'm trying to have a moment here. Don't ruin it," he said, receiving a little laugh from his hyung.
"So tell me the reason why, Almighty Cho Kyuhyun."
Kyuhyun rolled his eyes and smiled before turning into a more serious note. "It's because I wouldn't have all this. I wouldn't have Leeteuk-hyung as my awkward leader. I wouldn't have Heechul-hyung as my "mentor." I wouldn't have Hankyung-hyung as my fail chinese hyung. I wouldn't have Yesung hyung as my eccentric, derp hyung. I wouldn't have Shindong-hyung as my teddy bear. I wouldn't have Kangin-hyung as my abusive yet loving hyung. I wouldn't have Eunhyuk-hyung as my stinky anchovy hyung. I wouldn't have Donghae hyung, whom i believe to be 5 years old. I wouldn't have Zhou Mi ge as my forever fashionable ge. I wouldn't have Siwon hyung as my other derpy Christian hyung. I wouldn't have Ryeowookie as my chef. I wouldn't have Kibummie as my gaming partner. I wouldn't have Henry as my trolling apprentice."
Sungmin listened intently, nodding and laughing lightly at the ones he particularly found funny, but when Kyuhyun ended his list, Sungmin made a face. "What about me...?"
Kyuhyun smiled tenderly, looking down at his hyung who's comfortably lying under his arms. He didn't know how or why...
"I wouldn't have you to smile, laugh and cuddle with."
... but it seemed like the perfect time to say it, so he did it anyways.
