I'm getting back into anime again, please rec me some cool stuff. I don't normally go for romance-y stuff but I do like "romcoms" like School Rumble sooo if it's funny I'll watch it! I also like anything dark, weird, strange etc

My current faves/interests: Chihayafuru: its a sports anime, although the sport is a card game, but its really about friendshiiiiiiip, mainly 3 childhood friends trying to get reunited and the new friends/teammates they make along the way. It's really adorable and my feel-good show nowadays. There are romance aspects, but more low-key. I ship everyone though The first few episodes are flashbacks and IMO the show hits it stride in ep 5 when it returns to the main time. There's just really, really great character work and also fun tournament arcs.
Spice and Wolf: I've only watched a few episodes of this but I really like it! It's about uh, medieval economics mainly which makes it sound terrible but its really not. It's about a merchant who ends up traveling with a harvest goddess (a wolf in human form) who feels like she isn't needed at the town she was worshipped at anymore and wants to go to her homeland. Along the way she helps him with business which is actually way more interesting than I thought it would be.
Oh god, I had a moment of severe dizziness just now, with "haven't I just replied to that on tumblr?!!" o_O Ahem. Anyway, I didn't know that was you when I recced you things as izumisays there)
FATE/ZERO!! Fate/Stay Night too I guess but it's crap compared to f/z uh Natsume Yuujinchou is pretty good too and I second Ouran. Ao no Exorcist is great and Pandora Hearts? The anime is apparently crap but the manga is really good idk I HOPE YOU GOT SOMETHING OUT OF THIS RAMBLE MAN I'M CRAP AT THIS

Kannagi (Crazy Shrine Maidens), relatively unknown but it's cute without too much focus on romance (I don't like straight romance drama stuff either).
Uhhh if you have a lot of time, Prince of Tennis. It's sports. If you like Free! you would like it.
