in which my gardening skills do not suck

You remember how we removed all the grass from the front slope? So in Fall 2007, it looked like this. Then I did a lot of winter sowing, set out tiny seedlings in the spring and now it looks like this. I continue to update my plans for it, obviously, but at this point I feel I can declare it a success.

Mitts off! It's mine!

I would tell you where to get one but since I picked it up at some random 2nds shop in NC, I actually have no idea.

Thanks! I am v. pleased. Even the stuff that was there before looks better with the newly lush slope. Of course our abundant supply of rain this year has been helping with that. We'll see what happens in a drought year.

That frog is what topologically-challenged levitating-thing nightmares are made out of. I declare it a great representation of the fevered dreams of some character in a Lovecraft story whose taken too many drugs.

But he is strangely adorable.

I don't remember the yard being quite that gangbusters the last time we were there, but that was a while ago, and there has been lots of warm and rain in between now and then (and probably gardening!)

There will be adventures to Artomatic happening tomorrow evening, if you are bored.

Yay froggy frog!

Alas, I think we're supposed to be in the middle of nowhere, Md tomorrow evening at some kind of celebration of the circle of death. But we're planning to head down for part of the goth/zombie party on Sunday if you find you need! more! art!

umm, I think we may be at the same event tomorrow. However, I thought that was during the afternoon. Our plan was to attend that from 3-6, and hopefully manage the back to DC and down to AOM by 8.

Or, perhaps it is a totally different event. Who knows? There are a lot of them circles running around out there. Heck, just look through that frog!

umm, the (incomplete and possibly apocryphal, since I didn't actually get an invite) info I have says it ends at 8, so not home until at least 9 even if it doesn't trail on past the end time as such things are wont to do.
