What has gone wrong in the American psyche that our political candidates can no longer go by names like "Lean Jimmy" without it becoming a liability?

Or is that just my psyche?

I wonder if it's feasible to stage a number of actual tea parties in public places. We tea drinkers need to reclaim our good name.
