Here we go again...

It's seven in the morning and I don't have work, but here I am, wide awake. I'm currently hooked on playing games online, but now the game website doesn't work. Here I am trying to console myself. *grin ( Read more... )

I have a thing about knots too- one of the reasons why I like sailing.;)

I was restraining myself from buying another knot book.

Oooo...you sail? That is wonderful! What kinds of knots do you need for that? I remember the last time I went sailing (as a passenger), I was eyeing all the lovely knots they had all over the ship.

I have a confession to make.

I've never, EVER played scrabble. :-) I'm going to have to see what I've been missing out on. I sometimes play free cell on my computer for hours before I go to sleep at night. I like it because I can win every game. A new game I've been playing is spider solitaire, but I don't have it mastered yet. I play the "easy game" with one suit.

Have fun climbing today Rain! Hope to chat with you later. :-)

Haven't caught you online :(

I hope everything is looking better for you. You sounded sad/mad the last time you posted.

Free Cell is addictive ;). I try to stay away from it as much as I can.

I so love Scrabble! ubergoofy July 5 2003, 20:06:44 UTC
In my family, you had to play Scrabble. Usually at Easter for some reason... You can never take Scrabble too seriously. :)

Love those computer card games, too. I do Free Cell, Spider and sometimes classic old solitaire (Klondike?).

I also do Minesweeper. Used to be addicted to that as well.

And we'll just have to talk more about these knots sometime...

I expect someone like you to love Scrabble ;). You are wonderful with words.

Ah...minesweeper. To think of the hours that I've lost to that game. It's appalling.

What about knots? Don't tell me you love them too!

How much climbing have you done? It's an activity that's readily available around here, but I've never tried it. My sister was really getting into climbing before she moved away from Colorado -- it was this total addiction for her! She mostly practiced on climbing walls, and climbed outdoors a few times. I remember that her hands, already calloused from lots of indoor climbing, were so 'damaged'- to put it nicely- by the actual rocks. But she kept going because she loved climbing.

After only a few months, her arms and back muscles were KILLER!! :)

I've only gone a couple of times, but I'm hooked! We do indoor climbing at a nice climbing gym, trying to get prepared for the real thing. I'm going to find out if I can tape my fingers before I go outdoor climbing.

I love it, but I'm not sure how I would play my guitar with cut up fingers ;).

Ooohhhh...thanks for telling me that her arms and back are now awesome. That's one of the reasons I wanted to do it...to have nice guns! :D

You guys should try it sometime!

Hearing you talk about it and seeing my sister so enamored with it makes me definitely want to try it some day!

It's amazing at how my sister's indoor climbing callouses didn't protect her hands once she finally went outdoors. If you can tape your hands up, that might save down time from guitar playing!

Her arms and back were amazing! At the time, she was only occasionally running- no other working out at all. It was fascinating because people's backs don't really look that way when doing cardio and lifting weights. I wanted her arm muscles!

*must go climing soon*
