This is too much fun!

I normally have a really hard time waking up in the morning, but ever since that embodiment project started, I've been bouncing out of bed looking forward to playing in my journal. After taking a hiatus from fun art for quite a while, this has been energizing for me. Now I keep little notes about futures ideas for my pages ( Read more... )

I'm glad you saw these. See? This is what talking to you has inspired - me going back to having fun with art :). The spiral paper comes with a large pack of different kinds of patterned "collage paper" and the butterfly is something I scanned and still had sitting here somewhere. Isn't it funny how everyone has the same stuff eventually? *LOL*

Post your paste paper pics. I can't wait to see them :).

Thank you! That Michelangelo quote reminded me of our trip to Florence. I was so awed by his talent as a sculptor. He truly does see something in his mind and sets them free. After seeing his sculpture and his paintings up close, I really do think his love was sculpture. That darned pope and his demands for him to paint that ceiling! *LOL*

I'm doing the same thing! When I first joined that group, I thought it would be difficult to make a paper entry everyday -- now, I'm finding myself doing several entries in that journal and my art journal everyday. The inspiration is flowing faster than I can keep up with! I'm glad to see so many others going through the same thing! ::smiles:: Can't wait to see more from you!

I think the energy from the community is a bit infectious. Or maybe this is that shot in the arm of creativity that we needed to get going :). Either way, aren't you happy that you joined? It really has made me so happy to do art again!

That's a great way of describing it -- because I certainly needed something like this to give me a year-long motivational high! Yes, I'm VERY glad I joined and so thrilled with the person who promoted it in the jr__nal community!!! ::smiles::

Simply gorgeous!!
I wish I had even 1/10th of your artistic ability!!

P.S. When I told an artist friend of mine the brand of pastels you got for Christmas, she said this about the boy: "He's a keeper!" lol :)

Awww, you're so nice :D. Thank you.

I laughed when I read your postscript. Yes, he is definitely a keeper. Last year he got me a Juillian French Easel so I can paint when we go on trips if I wanted to.
