1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? Stayed by my son's side while he was sick with cancer

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? No on both accounts. New Year's resolutions have never been my strong point.

3. Did anyone come close to you give birth? Yes my friend's girlfriend had a baby and I got pregnant.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes my grandfather passed away at the age of 92.

5. What countries did you visit? The U.S. ......

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? A house, maybe a new car.

7. What date(s) from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? July 16th - the last day of my son's chemotherapy.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Having my son finally be cancer free AND finding out I was pregnant with my second child.

9.What was your biggest failure? Not being able to be as strong as I'd like, giving into despair on occasion.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No but I suffered every minute my child did.

11. What was the best thing you bought? New Computer? that or the van.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Behavior? erm... Alex's, because he stuck with us even though most men would run when confronted with the near-fatal illness of a girlfriend's child instead of being responsible and helping them. He has helped me and Cameron so much, from supporting me both financially and emotionally, and basically adopting Cameron as his own child, loving him more than his legal father does.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? My ex's because of his selfishness in regards to my son.

14. Where did most of your money go? To Maine Medical to pay for Cameron's expenses and to feed us/get us there.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Being able to take my son to Storyland and not worry about him falling ill just by being out.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2004? hm... that's a difficult one... probably breaking the habit by Linkin park even though I don't believe it was released in 2004

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? at the moment much happier because we aren't in the hospital
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter cuz I'm pregnant lol
iii. richer or poorer? poorer in monetary means but richer in our lives and the way we look at life.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Lived, but it wasn't an option.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Been a bitch... Stress can really make me a cunt.

21. What have you learned about yourself in 2004? That I am stronger than I give myself credit for and that I have wonderful, loving people around me.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004? Each day I fell more in love with my fiance Alex and my son.

23. How many one-night stands? 0

24. What was your favorite TV program? Probably The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy... or Family Guy. both of those rock! :)

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? hm... yes and no. I hate them yet I can't totally blame them for the way they are.

26. What was the best book you read? Confessions of an ugly stepsister by Gregory Maguire

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Erm.... Evanescence I guess

28. What did you want and get? my son to be cancer free

29. What did you want and not get? my ex to kick it.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? didn't see many in the theaters.. lord of the rings return of the king i guess

31. What did you do on your birthday? was in the hospital with my son. I think we went out for dinner though.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? not having my kid have cancer... but other than that probably having more sex, not that that could have been changed.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? whatever fits in an overnight bag and is comfortable.

34. What kept you sane? Alex. His love and the love of my son kept me sane and alive throughout the whole damned thing

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Who the fuck has time for that shit?

36. What political issue stirred you the most? Stirred me or pissed me off? Probably anything and everything Bush said or did from the whole Iraq thing to those stupid fucking states BANNING same sex unions or marriages.

37. Who did you miss? missed tons of concerts..... I miss my grandfather, and I missed Rayven when I was going through so much, I think he would have helped both alex and I keep sane more so.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Probably Cameron's nurse Bekka... and Scott.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004? It doesn't matter how much time you have with someone, its what you make of that time that really truly matters. Love is all conquering, and that children have the strongest spirits of anyone on the planet.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: i have no clue.... a ton of songs... landslide by stevie nicks... would probably be at the top of the list.
