John Lennon died 24 years ago today. I'm not going to idolize him and say he was the greatest man that ever lived like I've seen some people do. He wasn't, he made mistakes just like everyone else. I do respect him though and I wonder how it would be today if he were still around...anyway, this is a song that Elton John wrote about him

Ohmygod, thank you so very very much. I've always closetly loved that song and now that you put it into a context, of John Lennon of less, well I'm just taken away by it all, really.

:) I've actually never heard it, I saw that someone else had posted it along with there entry and I liked the lyrics. I really want to hear it though.
