Just wanted to say hi and let you know I'm back. Heheh...I have to keep my stuff because um...I don't have anything else. I'm a person with incontinence that likes wearing diapers. Isn't that weird? What are the odds of that? Sometimes it makes me feel so guilty.
One of the things that bothers me is that I'm a really open person by nature, and it hurts me to hide the secret even though I have a legit diagnosis. Of course my kids know, and my parents, and one or two of my closest friends...also my doctor and my urologist. But the only person I've told that I enjoy it is my therapist.
Anyway, it's nice seeing your post, and even though my sitch is a little different I can totally relate. My advice is don't hide, don't be ashamed, and honor that side of you whenever you can. Luv ya.
Hey. ^_^ Sorry I took so long to reply. I envy your situation a little bit, but on the other hand, I don't. I wouldn't like to be defined by the fact that I'm incontinent. Then again, I've never been forced to be in that situation, so maybe I would... who knows.
How hard is it to hide your need for diapers from friends and family, or perfect strangers?
It's a little weird, I just recently moved with my husband (we got married in June, woohoo, and nah, just business as usual, no getaway with diapers or anything, but that's ok. ;p) ...so we're living in a completely new place, with new people... it's tempting to just build a persona and not care what other people think, but it's so hard. I'll keep thinking it over. Now that I'm working from home, it would be incredibly easy to go 24/7 if I wanted to. It just sucks that we don't have a washer/dryer in our place anymore.
