I cooked asparagus tonight. It tastes like a cross between broccoli and corn -- pretty good, actually.

Yuck! I don't agree. I don't think it tastes like a cross between broccoli and corn. I like those things, but I don't like asparagus. I think it's disgusting. I'd rather eat twigs.

How did you cook it? I followed a cookbook recipe that must have been pretty good.

I only had it a couple of times. Once it was loaded with butter and the other was plain. Although I'd rather eat asparagus than egg plant. I've tried that a couple of times in different ways and it's always disgusting.

You should come to town some day and have lunch or dinner with us.
