I haven't seen too much backlash, what are the criticisms?

I've been looking up youtube videos of people's reviews and it's about half and half, love hate. But so many of the comments are negative. And in other places like amazon and various harry potter forums I've seen people say they were really disappointed. What I've seen most is that people didn't like that it was depressing. I think it would have been a cop out if the books had ended with the main characters being perfectly happy and unaffected by all they had experiences. But I actually found the ending very hopeful.

I can see people not liking who she "ended up with" and how, but that was not the point of the books
