The more I think about The Hunger Games adapdation, casting, and my general bad feelings, the more I wish it had another director, namely Quentin Tarantino. He's one of the few directors in Hollywood who will actually risk a box office flop to make a good movie. I knew that name sounded familiar (HPNERD ALERT). I've only seen two of his movies, HP3 and Children of Men, but I really liked Children of Men.

I haven't seen *all* of his movies, but I think his resume and world view would fit the HG series well.

I've kind of given up on Gary Ross, tbh.

I'm still absolutely shocked that they have been so open about the fact that they were only interested in casting a white actor in that role and that they've got away with it. Depressing as it is, realistically, you know that many directors and casting people do discriminate, but it's unbelievable that they have been so blatant about it. It's disgusting.

It's no more than I expect from Hollywood really. But I'm extra pissed that it's happening to my favorite series and favorite character.
