What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Northeast

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

any northeast accent I have is influenced by my mom's speech, she's from Brooklyn, NY. I don't [think i] have any boston accent. The closest might be using the term "wicked." It will be weird if my child ends up with a boston accent!

The other problem is that i don't really know what i say, because i think with some words i might go either way, or else when i try to think about how i say something, my idea of what i say might be different from what i actually say in running speech. Trust me, i love phonetics, so I've anaylzed this before and know the phonetic and dialectical differences for all of the questions on that test :)

Yeah, I thought it was an interesting quiz (for a change) and I had to do it out loud.

According to this, I have a Chicago or Wisconsin accent, and I am likely to say "pop." I put "different" for pretty much EVERY answer, because I do say them differently... I think my accent is probably closer to ANY of those others than to chicago or wisconsin... oh, well...

Which one(s) did you NOT mark as "different"? And what did you mark for the "horrible" question, sounds like "whore" or "hot"?
