As noted, shipping from Canada is $6.95 for air and $5.44 for ground regardless of where in the 48 states (and for some reason it's even higher to ship within Canada...!) which makes it extremely difficult to sell things =(

Fyi, shipping in Canada is non-zonal :) In other words, it costs the same to ship something 100km as it does to ship it 10 000km, as long as it's within the country via Canada Post!
Really?? I remember shipping something to my friend in Vancouver a few years back and it was $11 for air mail, and it was not a large packet or anything...or maybe my memory fails me? lol I don't know then! Thanks for the heads up though!
Oh yah -- it's not zonal, but it IS still pure thievery. It would have been $11 even if you just shipped it one province over! We get charged SO much for shipping; it's insane. Just make sure to ask for regular surface mail at actual Canada Post outlets and you should be alright :) (The privately owned outlets can charge whatever the heck they want, believe it or not! They're in most drugstores etc.)
Asking for both air and surface quotes can be helpful too, sometimes it's a bit of a jump (a dollar or two) and sometimes it's really substantial (five or more.) It just depends on the size of the parcel etc :)
