I have unbelievably low self confidence, too.
But...sometimes, I just try to fake it.
Honestly, the only way you can like yourself is by taking everything you want to change about yourself...and changing it. Decide who you want to be and do everything you can to become that person.
I think you're a beautiful and amazing person, but if you need this to feel better about yourself...then go for it. Do anything necessary. Don't sell yourself short.

Stephie,
If you EVER need to talk to someone, I'm here. I know we haven't talked much recently, but that doesnt mean I wont listen. I really dont know your situation very well, but if your parents are willing to pay for you to talk to a counselor, give it a try. It couldnt hurt anything. Please take care Steph, I will be praying for you.

Like Nikki, I really don't know you're situation very well but I am always willing to listen and do anything I can if you need help. I also agree that therepy might be worth a shot, especially if your parents are willing to pay. Pretty much anyone could benefit from a few sessions with a therapist. One thing my therapist suggested I try was making a list of things I like about myself. It was hard because, like you, I couldn't think of anything I liked about myself. Try asking other people for examples, if that's not too awkward feeling. Another way I've found that works is to think of all the negative qualities a person could have that you don't have. It's the cynic's approach to raising your self-esteem and I found that it works pretty well.
