If you were watching a friend’s child 4 days a week at about 40 hours per week how much would you charge?

I think it depends on alot of factors... When I was working full-time I paid my mom 25.00 a day (which is the mid amount of daycare in the area). I don't know how much daycare is in your area or whether or not you'll be providing meals/diapers/etc

Sorry I can't be of more help... For awhile I was working about 3 hours a day and my friend was watching Becca...so we split it... so she made 4.00 an hour and so did I :P

I paid 20 dollars a day when Conner was in private daycare all day. so... about 100 a week. It was 140 when he was in diapers. the only thing I had to provide was diapers.

yeah, I'd say thats about average or even lower than you'd pay around here. Most "real" day cares like the one down the street charge 140 a week.

I was a nanny three times a week for 5 hours a time in the summer and I charged 400 dollars. If I had been doing it fulltime I would have charged 650. The baby was still in diapers and I provided lunch and snacks.

10 hours a day is a looooong day. I charged 20 dollars a day to babysit for friends/neighbors, and even went down to 15 dollars for one who was really tight on cash.

I was a nanny for a couple for several years and made about $300 a week(low for a nanny) with them. With a nanny position, you go to their home, drive their kids around, tidy the house for them, do laundry, and cook meals sometimes. Pretty good pay, but I'd rather be in my own home.
