"American children and adolescents spend 22 to 28 hours per week viewing television, more than any other activity except sleeping. By the age of 70 they will have spent 7 to 10 years of their lives watching TV." -- The Kaiser Family Foundation

Ugh. That's gross.

I try to limit the boys to an hour a day, and on the weekends we are too busy to bother with the TV at all. Aaron and I watch about three shows total so about 3 hours a week. I can't imagine watching THAT much TV.

yeah I really try and limit. Its been harder the more pregnant I get LOL but Logan didn't start watching anything until he was 2 1/2. Luckily Phoenix still has no interest.

We don't have cable or an antenna, so our kids only get to watch videos. Since they have seen them all countless times, they are bored with movies and usually play inside or outside instead. We don't plan to EVER have cable hook-up, or use an antenna. Hopefully, this will keep our kids from turning into mindless sheeple. =)

Hubby seriously wants to leave the TV when we move, so maybe they won't even have videos to watch...

yeah we don't have cable but we do have an antenna. Logan mostly watched videos or the occasional PBS but thats it.
I would love to get rid of ours but I admit to watching sometimes at night when the boys are in bed ;)

I read this as my son is wathcing "Signing Time". I used to be a huge advocate for no TV, but now my son only watching "Signing Time" and maybe gets to watch it once a week for 20 minutes. I wont let my son watch 22 hours of TV a week....ever!

Good luck with that baby! Maybe by Thanksgiving?!?
