i jumped on the vegitarian bandwagon a few years ago and it only lasted about a year. i couldnt stand it anymore. i felt like shit. i felt weak. and when i started eating meat again, i had a little bit of a stomach ache but i wasnt really sick. after i started eating mean again i felt so much happier and healthier and stronger. i think everything you said is dead on.
1) What you say is only half true. One of my best friends was raised vegetarian and has never eaten meat. Well, almost never. Every few years some gets accidentally put into what she thinks is vegetarian and by the time she realises it, she's either puking or, well, it's coming out one way or another. I've seen it happen (and had it happen to me too, but it could have been a result of the horror of having eaten red meat). Once or twice she's even eaten it on purpose. Same result, so it's probably not purely a psychosomatic response. As far as dairy? She eats it. Actually, whether or not somebody could develop lactose-intolerance due to an extended period of not eating dairy could be an interesting experiment. Huh
