Well I got that elusive job offer right after posting my last entry. I'm not even happy about it. I'm not happy because two major things are more than likely going to cause me to have to quit

Awww...I hope everything works out for you! I think you should give this job a try. Don't worry about the clothing issue, everyone knows that people can't just buy things over night. They know that you need to get a few paychecks under your belt first, if your boss has a problem with your clothes, just tell him/her that you don't have the money right now, but after you get paid, you will buy more appropriate attire. I really don't think it's a big deal.
As for the van...maybe someone could come pick you up at night...I don't walk around by myself at night either, so I completely understand!
However, I think you need to at least try this job, you will never know how it will go if you don't try. And don't worry, you will be fine. When you start getting overwhelmed, just take a few deep breaths or go to the bathroom for a few minutes, I've done both of these plenty of times and they do help.
My not having any clothes was a big problem. The office is a strictly professional office (which I can understand). Even after a few paychecks I wouldn't have been able to afford new clothes. After paying all my bills each month I'd only have about twenty dollars (five dollars a week...YIKES!)to spare each month (can we say thank God I still live with my mom?) and after paying for gas (once I got a vehicle) my guesstimate was that it would take me approximately three months to buy each new article of clothing. I'd go to Good Will, but around here they never have my size. u_u
