McGee sighed. Tony was up to something, he was sure of it. There was a telltale glint in his eyes and McGee could practically hear the gears turning in Tony's mind. He shook his head and went back to work.
For a rare moment, all was quiet in the bullpen.
Of course, it didn't last long. The peace was shattered as one thoroughly drenched and sticky Ziva David stormed into the bullpen and strode purposefully up to Tony's desk. Her voice was eerily calm as she spoke.
"I will get you, Anthony DiNozzo. When you least expect it."
McGee watched in confused fascination as Tony leaned back in his chair calmly, eyes traveling from Ziva's damp pants, over her (ruined) blouse, and then up to her face. Then, not able to stand it anymore, Tony burst out laughing uncontrollably.
"That's a great look for you, Zi" he said between giggles. He was so busy laughing he barely noticed as Ziva's knife sailed within inches of his head before embedding itself into the corkboard behind him.
"When you least expect it." repeated Ziva before turning and storming off back the way she came.
Tony was still laughing when McGee finally caved.
"What did you do, Tony?" he asked.
Tony took a moment to collect himself before turning to answer McGee.
"Nothing" he shrugged, "She left her soda on the table in the breakroom while she was in the bathroom. I couldn't help myself. I just shook it up a little."
McGee sighed. He was working with a bunch of children.
