And thaaat was the end of my gameblog! Jesus Christ that was long. REGARDLESS. Now I can give you guys my thoughts on the entire game!
So, first off, I would like to mention that OF COURSE I bloody loved it I can never dislike a KH game. And I totally called me BASICALLY falling in love with Xion! I always said Nomura knew what he was doing, and I maintain that. It's HIS verse, always, which means yeah it works on retard science but I'm not into it for the logic of the plot or the Disney nostalgia factor but the stupid poignant character that I love.
Now that the declaration that I am a KHfag is all said and done, let's talk about what people called the 'main controversial issue' of the game. That is to say, Xion.
On Xion -- the spoilers I'd read (AAAAGES AGO) said that Xion was a replica of Sora. While I can see how one can come to that conclusion, it's pure bullshit! Xion was a blank state. She DIDN'T HAVE A FACE before meeting Roxas. The Organization was only hoping that the Replica would copy Roxas's capacities, and that's what they made her for.
But Xion didn't only absorb Roxas's powers, she also absorbed memories! Those memories gave her an identity -- she looks like Kairi because those are the memories Naminé erased/replaced of Sora first, and because Kairi is Sora's Most Important Person (tm). Later, she had almost all of Sora's memories inside her, WHICH IS WHY her appearance had changed to Sora's. For a few people.
What people see when they look at Xion depended on SO MANY THINGS. Saïx never saw her as more than a 'thing', a creature, and I think that's what Riku saw in her first, too. I'll repeat it again, SHE DID NOT HAVE A FACE. She only 'unhoods' (shows her face) to Axel when they're friends. So what you see is based on you/your interactions with her/your connection to Sora probably.
SO NOW THAT THIS IS ALL SAID, I love Xion. Xion was adorable, her interactions with the boys was always so heart wrenching, and NOT ONLY does she get a reasonable explanation for being the '14th' member, there was never a fourteenth in the first place and Saïx points it out himself. Since her existence is based on memories, everyone forgets her! There's no 'easy brainwashing' done! IT'S RETARD SCIENCE, BUT STILL. So yeah, I never thought Xion was a Mary-Sue and now I am convinced she isn't forever and I will argue it TO THE DEATH.
(Her secret report said 'I love Axel and Roxas' WHAT CAN I DO BUT LOVE HER??)
For people who said this game didn't explain anything, dude? It totally does. On his own, without influence, Roxas would never have started to wonder if people were keeping things from him. AND THEN. HE CAME BACK djkfsjks. Roxas as a whole got his entire character arc, and it is HEART BREAKING. And now we know WHY they absolutely needed Roxas to wake Sora up!
No it does not make DiZ any less of a douche.
We've also learned about Axel and Saïx's 'relationship' (in bed), and lots of tiny details that make Axel's entire character "make sense". OF COURSE NOW THAT HE'S GENERALLY NOT A OMG ASSHOLE 100% IN COM PEOPLE ARE GOING TO WHINE but I don't care I'm not into psychopaths, thnx. And -- well there's a lot of stuff that's explained, but I can't remember all of it, BUT MOSTLY the Nobodies make sense! And there are things that will tie in with other games, I'm sure -- the BBS hint, and the Chambers are never properly explained... and then there's the whole PAST Saïx and Axel shared, unf.
Also we get reasonable characterization for Demyx! And Xigbar and Xaldin. Luxord, uhm, not as much. BUT YEAH. Xemnas not really (but no one cares), and Saïx a hell of a lot, actually.
Overall? I loved this game. I do think it fits in the series 100%, NOTHING GOT RETCONNED, and the haters can go to the left corner and baw about a OMG A GIRL IN THEIR GAY. Please. Axel and Roxas are still just as gay, even with some het thrown in.
... And yeah I totally ship Axel/Xion/Roxas, but THE FRIENDSHIP! The fucking friendship, guys. IT WAS NOT ONE SIDED. And it's heartbreaking! And yeah I'm done now, I think.

It's HIS verse, always, which means yeah it works on retard science but I'm not into it for the logic of the plot or the Disney nostalgia factor but the stupid poignant character that I love.
Now that the declaration that I am a KHfag is all said and done, let's talk about what people called the 'main controversial issue' of the game. That is to say, Xion.
On Xion -- the spoilers I'd read (AAAAGES AGO) said that Xion was a replica of Sora. While I can see how one can come to that conclusion, it's pure bullshit! Xion was a blank state. She DIDN'T HAVE A FACE before meeting Roxas. The Organization was only hoping that the Replica would copy Roxas's capacities, and that's what they made her for.
But Xion didn't only absorb Roxas's powers, she also absorbed memories! Those memories gave her an identity -- she looks like Kairi because those are the memories Naminé erased/replaced of Sora first, and because Kairi is Sora's Most Important Person (tm). Later, she had almost all of Sora's memories inside her, WHICH IS WHY her appearance had changed to Sora's. For a few people.
What people see when they look at Xion depended on SO MANY THINGS. Saïx never saw her as more than a 'thing', a creature, and I think that's what Riku saw in her first, too. I'll repeat it again, SHE DID NOT HAVE A FACE. She only 'unhoods' (shows her face) to Axel when they're friends. So what you see is based on you/your interactions with her/your connection to Sora probably.
SO NOW THAT THIS IS ALL SAID, I love Xion. Xion was adorable, her interactions with the boys was always so heart wrenching, and NOT ONLY does she get a reasonable explanation for being the '14th' member, there was never a fourteenth in the first place and Saïx points it out himself. Since her existence is based on memories, everyone forgets her! There's no 'easy brainwashing' done! IT'S RETARD SCIENCE, BUT STILL. So yeah, I never thought Xion was a Mary-Sue and now I am convinced she isn't forever and I will argue it TO THE DEATH.
(Her secret report said 'I love Axel and Roxas' WHAT CAN I DO BUT LOVE HER??)
For people who said this game didn't explain anything, dude? It totally does. On his own, without influence, Roxas would never have started to wonder if people were keeping things from him. AND THEN. HE CAME BACK djkfsjks. Roxas as a whole got his entire character arc, and it is HEART BREAKING. And now we know WHY they absolutely needed Roxas to wake Sora up!
No it does not make DiZ any less of a douche.
We've also learned about Axel and Saïx's 'relationship' (in bed), and lots of tiny details that make Axel's entire character "make sense". OF COURSE NOW THAT HE'S GENERALLY NOT A OMG ASSHOLE 100% IN COM PEOPLE ARE GOING TO WHINE but I don't care I'm not into psychopaths, thnx. And -- well there's a lot of stuff that's explained, but I can't remember all of it, BUT MOSTLY the Nobodies make sense! And there are things that will tie in with other games, I'm sure -- the BBS hint, and the Chambers are never properly explained... and then there's the whole PAST Saïx and Axel shared, unf.
Also we get reasonable characterization for Demyx! And Xigbar and Xaldin. Luxord, uhm, not as much. BUT YEAH. Xemnas not really (but no one cares), and Saïx a hell of a lot, actually.
Overall? I loved this game. I do think it fits in the series 100%, NOTHING GOT RETCONNED, and the haters can go to the left corner and baw about a OMG A GIRL IN THEIR GAY. Please. Axel and Roxas are still just as gay, even with some het thrown in.
... And yeah I totally ship Axel/Xion/Roxas, but THE FRIENDSHIP! The fucking friendship, guys. IT WAS NOT ONE SIDED. And it's heartbreaking! And yeah I'm done now, I think.
