Some time ago, Neil and I had stopped at a service station to utilise the facilities (alright, to have a wee) and on returning to the car, I shouted gleefully 'Hello Pig!!' (Neil's car registration is P161 LOL; so it is known as The Happy Pig

This one was very beardy indeed. It made yours look like the ghost of a five o'clock shadow! There were probably whole colonies of creatures living in it and everything...

lol, you should see D's beard at the moment, it's most majestically beardy!

I reckon it comes out of laziness, quite often ... why bother shaving when you can just trim a bit here and there?

He does have owls living in it though, they scavenge on dropped crumbs!

Lanky is very protective of his beard, although it is grown out of laziness/fear of razors more than deliberately. He thought about shaving it off once and then he remembered he'd have to KEEP doing it. :D
