[Birthday drabble] Yabu x Yamada

When Ryosuke slumps into the room Kouta’s eyes just cast over him, pretending like they don’t notice. It’s a rule. Something they agreed on.
The boy looks broken, hurt and Kouta barely resists the urge to run over to him and pull him in his arms.
Instead, he turns a page of the book his pretending to read. His eyes slide over the page not taking up any of the letters written on it, instead he takes a sneak peek at Ryosuke.
Big, crystal tears now run over his cheeks and that’s it. Kouta closes the book and throws it somewhere he knows he’ll has troubles finding it the next day.
It doesn’t matter now.
He pulls the younger boy closer and where he expects him to resist, he finds the smaller male crawling closer to him, his hand clutching to the back of Kouta’s shirt.
Ryosuke cries, he doesn’t even need to speak.
Kouta kisses away the tears and promises dreams that cannot come true, Ryosuke lets him.
Later that night, when Ryosuke is vast asleep in his arms Kouta runs a hand through his hair and takes in the scent.
He doesn’t want to sleep just yet, because he knows that when he wakes up, Ryosuke will be in his own bed and they’ll pretend like this never happened. It’s a rule. Something they agreed on.
