So, about a month ago I finished "Heartstopper" on Netflix. Was sort of noodling around the platform and stumbled across a Netflix Nordic series called "Young Royals". Season 1 came out July 2021 but I didn't watch it. Season 2 came out November 2022 but I didn't hear about it. Until I idly started watching Season 1, Episode 1 and ended up

I really enjoyed season 1, but haven't watched season 2 yet (mainly because most of my TV time is spent on Taskmaster at the moment). It's fun to see a Swedish show get an international audience!

Season 2 is more...uneven than Season 1, I should warn you. Still good, but with more rough edges. It's just been renewed for a third and final season, which I think is good. I think S2 suffered in part because when it was written, they didn't know if there would be a S3 or not. I hope knowing they need to tie up loose plot threads in S3 will concentrate the writers' minds.
I'm not familiar with Taskmaster, but enjoy!
I really liked that the English dub was done by the Swedish actors, so you have the original pronunciation of the names, the original voices, and so forth. I usually manually switch dubbed shows over to the original soundtrack with English subtitles, but for this one I didn't have to. I'm enjoying this Swedish show.

I haven't watched this show, but this sentiment: I am also bewildered, as someone born in 1976, by the level of open queer representation is exactly how I felt when I watched The Old Guard. Two guys, in a long-term relationship, totally in love, romantic, and it's just there. It's central and important, and normal. I was full of glee.
I'm glad you've found a new fandom obsession!!

The Old Guard is now going to the top of my To Be Watched list, because I need to see that normality too.
I'd forgotten how much fun it is to have a new fandom obsession.

Yay! Yes, watch it. It's so good. It's on Neflix (there's going to be a sequel this year, too).
I love new fandom obsessions. But also, I'm deep in SGA right now, remembering old fandom obsessions, and it's glorious.
