And the way I see it, the novel shouldn't yet be over. It's difficult to develop a very in-depth plot in just fifty-thousand words, the way I see it. So go ahead and keep writing!

I totally don't intend for it to be over-- what I have, I think, is a Part 1 of a larger (two-, three- or four-part novel.) My characters are resolved (er, or will be as soon as I write the one or two last scenes,) but the book would feel incomplete if I didn't see the events of the Empire through on a wider scope.
