My job is permanent! *cheers* My new schedule is Thursday-Monday, 10 PM-7 AM. I have tonight off, since this week started on Sunday, but I have to work tomorrow night. Which sucks, 'cause tomorrow's Halloween, and I was planning on giving out candy. I can still do that, but I have to get up earlier than I prefer to on my worknights

Whatever you do, do not allow them to give you the keys to ANYTHING!!!

I went into work at a Walmart that was closed on Thanksgiving back in the day. Went in at 10pm Thanksgiving night. Doors opened at 6 am. At 5 am, they sent me to Electronics to "hold the keys until the associate gets here, and then you're off at 7.

I went home at NOON. And this was only by taking off my badge and vest and SNEAKING OUT!

*hugs tightly* I have so much sympathy for you.

I strongly recommend a bottle of the strongest version of strong beverages you prefer. As soon as you get home, drain the bottle at your convenience. If you're still hearing people shriek about the damn Blitz item that was gone in the first five minutes in your head (which is possible... even likely...) try braining yourself with it.

Hey, I know exactly how you feel on Black Friday. I used to work for Walmart as a cashier. One year, I had to go to work at 5:00 in the morning (I think 5:00) and worked til 1:00 in the afternoon. Then, the next year, I didn't have to go in until 7:00 in the morning. But, my supervisor very nicely asked me to work til 5:00 that afternoon instead of getting off at 4:00 because she would have been short until 5:00 people came in. I didn't necessarily want to, but, I agreed as I didn't want to leave her in a tough spot. :) And yes, it was a madhouse on Black Friday, but, it all went okay. :)
