It's surprising how the death of someone I don't personally know can truly, completely stop me in my tracks.

Mark Dailey passed away today at the age of 57. For as long as I can remember, he did the voiceover for CityTV (a local television channel). To me, he IS CityTV. He used to do these hilarious intros to the movies playing on the channel

I found out about his death last night when I was watching HIMYM; CityTV did a short tribute to him after the show. I can't imagine the channel without Mark Dailey doing all the voiceovers.

Sad! I too have fond memories of watching CityTV. My parents probably still have recorded VHS tapes of movies from CityTV with his voice on them.
