Day 04 Favourite TV/Film Feature
Now this is going to be the surprise entry on the list since you were probably thinking either Doctor Who or The Second Coming would be my favourite feature of Christopher's but you'd be wrong. No, my favourite feature of Christopher's is Othello. It's possibly the most sleekest role Christopher has been in; smart and stylish at the same time with a shot of dark comedy injected throughout. It's such a great watch and I find myself enjoying it more and more with each screening. Everyone produces stellar performances and the cast is loaded with chemistry producing a solid drama.
Ben Jago is probably my favourite bad guy of Christopher's since his character is so deliciously devious with his bad deeds. Everything is so subtlety done and it's all done behind a chillingly calm and friendly smile. All of how Ben Jago orchestrates John Othello's downfall is done with simple tugs and like a demon Ben Jago gets inside Othello's mind and weaves a deadly paranoia and drives John into madness. A promising career and a happy marriage is obliterated by the end of the drama all by the hands of one man. The last few seconds where Ben Jago poses in front of the camera is one of the most disturbing sights in the whole piece.
For in Ben Jago's eyes there is no compassion nor love for his fellow man and we are left with the knowledge that the police will fall into deep corruption. We can only hope that one day someone will rise up against the tyranny.
