When the Doctor wants to go out on a date, he really pulls out all the stops. Dinner and a date to the theater all in one fantastic night. He looked the part too, all dressed up in a form fitting and light blue uniform shirt with a pair of black jeans and by the looks of it has combed his hair to pristine neatness. It was almost comical how much thought he was placing into getting every last detail on point; sometimes the Doctor's old world charms fall short but tonight they had made her swoon. She had plans of her own though, the Doctor wasn't the only one who was going to do the feet sweeping. Inside her closet hung up in a bag was a sexy little black draped cut dress which hugged her hips in the most seductive way possible.
"Are you ready to go Rose? The play starts in an hour and I don't want to be late." The Doctor called out from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'm almost ready! Just need to fix up my hair a bit!" Rose shouted back. With one more burst of hairspray Rose checked herself out in the mirror and gave her reflection a confident nod of approval. Tonight was going to be a good night and with any luck by the end of it hopefully her dress would be on their bedroom floor. The Doctor looked down at his watch, stomach filled with butterflies because tonight wasn't just any regular date. This was the night where he was going to propose to Rose and his nerves were flying through him in a frenzy.
When he regenerated into this incarnation of himself, the rules that had restricted him beforehand were no longer there and for an extended period of time he was left ambling aimlessly in the fog. When he met Rose, he came alive again in some very unexpected ways. When they first travelled in the TARDIS together, everyone noticed how he looked and behaved around her. Feelings of wanting to touch her skin and to breathe her in pooled into his hearts, for he had fallen in love again for the first time in ages. Lust, longing and sexual attraction hit him like a tonne of bricks for this body of his was loaded with hormones and a newly discovered libido. When they were travelling together, he couldn't quite grasp how he was feeling but with the time granted in reflecting on it he now knew the manner of his feelings.
And he could feel all of this watching Rose walk down the stairs in a dress that hugged her curvy body; his eyes darkening at the sight. All he could think about was how much he wanted to take her back upstairs and just stay in their bed, but alas he couldn't cancel dinner reservations at such short notice; oh well. Rose wore a large smile on her face while she turned around slowly like she was a model posing for a camera, he smiled widely in admiration and pride. He was so proud of his love, in the past few months she had built from the ground up her own task force dealing with alien and human relations. Aliens coming down to earth could find a place to stay while either refueling or looking for resources for their home planet. Alien invasions were significantly reduced since communication was forged since most alien invasions were due to mis-communication.
"Rose...That dress...Your hair...Just...I'm usually a good wordsmith but I'm really strugglin' here. You look, you look absolutely stunning and fantastic. How did a bloke like me ever get so lucky?" The Doctor said. Pure happiness had formed a lump in his throat with tears prickling at the corners of his eyes. Rose walked to his side and placed a reassuring kiss on his cheek.
"Doctor...We're both the lucky ones here...I love you so much. I've never had anything like this where I've felt so satisfied with so many aspects of my life. Now come on, let's get this date started! I brought the camera with me, tonight just feels like a night to remember." Rose replied in earnest.
"Then let's make it one to remember shall we?"
----------------------
During the intermission, Rose pulled out her camera and snapped a few pictures of the stage design and the beautifully ornate design of the old theater. There was an air of timelessness here, like people from the 19th century could come waltzing in here and no one would know the difference. Throughout the evening, the Doctor and Rose took pictures of each other reacting to the scenes of the play and the last one was particularly funny. The Doctor had turned to face the camera and gave off a disapproving expression as the main protagonist screamed at his little sister; the expression looked like a cross between 'really son, you're going to do that' and 'let me show you a thing or two about manners young man'.
Disciplining children would become a reality very soon, for Rose had her own announcement for the Doctor tonight and she hoped that he would take it as good news. They had discussed having children sometimes in a humourous way but it belied the seriousness they both had regarding the idea. Subconsciously her hand travelled towards her abdomen; almost as if she was protecting the small near improbable seed resting in her uterus. The Doctor explained to her as thoughtfully as he could that Gallifreyan DNA and Human DNA colliding and actually creating something out of the combination was a rare thing. It wasn't entirely out of the realms of possibility, but it was a delicate ballet of marking down all the criteria and connecting all the dots properly.
The play commenced and the curtain raised up once again, transporting them both back in time to what people would consider a more simpler age.

Once the play had wrapped up and the actors all bowed in front an appreciative audience, the Doctor took Rose's hand and guided her towards the parking lot.
"Well, it's time for dinner. All that drama and trauma has made me very hungry, how 'bout you?" The Doctor asked.
"Yeah, I could go from some serious fish and chips right about now." Rose replied. The Doctor rolled his eyes, he had promised her world class dining and here she wanted what they had almost every weekend. Rose Tyler, always went against the grain no matter what she does but that was one of the things that made him fall desperately in love with her.
"Well, maybe they have fish and chips at the place I'm taking you tonight. It's rather fancy and elite and it took me almost a week to get reservations there."
"I guess I could forego the fish and chips this time."
The restaurant was a relatively quiet place, when the Doctor said it was elite he wasn't kidding at all, they had their own private dining room all to themselves. The dining room was furnished with matte black walls and with white antique chairs placed around a large marble table. It was also soundproof as well, Rose estimated that the Doctor wanted to have no distractions tonight which made her intensely curious. The Doctor alluded to wanting to talk to Rose about something all week but never gave any clues as to what it was he wanted to discuss with her, whatever he wanted to say was most definitely going to happen tonight. Their waiter stepped inside their dining room and asked them what they were in the mood for, the Doctor ordered himself a sirloin steak with a baked potato on the side and Rose ordered a grilled chicken breast with a Caesar salad to go along with it. The Doctor was curious why Rose skipped ordering champagne along with him, but disregarded it for his nerves over proposing to her grabbed a hold of him.
"I still can't believe that you came back to me...I thought for sure that I would never see your face again. Some days I get frightened that I'm going to wake up and you'll be gone. I just can't imagine being with anyone else other than you, no one could replace you...I love you so much Doctor."
"Rose...Nothing could have kept me away from getting back to you and I wasn't going to let regeneration stop me either. When I was wandering around searching desperately for you, I saw the man who had replaced me and knew that he wasn't what you signed up for. He was entirely too careless and reckless with your heart and ended up breaking it. I could never imagine myself doing the same and I'm entirely sorry for not getting here sooner. I wish I could have been there the moment you entered this new world but I'm here now and I'm making a promise to you. I will never leave your side again, and this-"
The Doctor searched through his pocket and pulled out a gorgeous pink diamond ring
"This is me keeping that promise. Rose will you take this journey with me? I can't do this alone anymore and what I have with you is much stronger than what I have when I'm alone. I'll be with you through every possible outcome with whatever life happens to throw our way...Rose, will you marry me?"
Rose had to bite down on her lip hard to stop herself from crying, the overwhelming amount of joy filled her heart and soul as tears fell freely from her eyes.
"Yes. Yes, yes, yes!" Rose squealed.

When they got home, their house was filled with warmth and laughter as they rushed upstairs to their bedroom to seal the deal...
Lying there breathless and in the afterglow of what must have been the most tender sex Rose has ever had, she finally had the opportunity to tell the Doctor her good news.
"Doctor? What should we do about the baby's room? I'm thinking a nice pale green for the wall colour, what do you think?"
"But we don't have a--Rose...Are you trying to tell me that you're pregnant?" The Doctor asked. Rose gave him a small and anxious nod of her head leaving the Doctor pleasantly surprised. He wrapped her up inside his strong embrace, kissing her forehead gently and reassuring her that he was truly happy with this news.
"You're going to be a fantastic mother Mrs. Doctor, just you wait and see."
"I wonder if our baby will have your blue eyes? I'm hoping that they will." Rose chirped in.
"Hopefully they'll inherit your good looks since I'm not winnin' any awards for mine." The Doctor added with his trademark self-deprecation.
"Oh c'mon, enough of that talk! You're beautiful and you know it so stop with the old 'woe is me' routine because it's not working anymore. Our child will be the most beautiful person to ever walk this earth. But now comes the hard part Doctor." Rose chimed in.
"What's the hard part?" The Doctor asked.
"We've got to tell my parents!"
