Three times Lincoln met Peter Bishop - Teaser ficlet

Apr 17, 2012 13:31

Notes:  This is some weird alternate universe, where Peter grew up in the redverse instead of being kidnapped into the blue, but things are still screwed up in their world.  AKA, that fic I keep warning people I might eventually write, where it's the Observers who are responsible for the original breach into redverse, and not 'our' Walter.

*coughs* Weird Fringe story - AU )

And I adore that you adore it, and also, don't burn yourself. *g*

*g* Thank you. Yeah, Lincoln's definitely more blue than red at this stage, but I wanted to write that moment where he *decides* to go in the opposite direction. Hopefully, he'll seem more 'red' as he ages, and of course, each time he tangles with Peter.

Hanging on every word, srsly. So great. The world-building, all the little details. And Peter kissing a very-slightly underage Lincoln? So hot. Even if he did have ulterior motive. ;)

Thank you. Question: do you think Fringe recruits from other resources? So, um, maybe Lincoln had a stint in the police force for a couple of years, (say until 22-23) before being relocated to Fringe?

*nods* If his dad were still a jurist, I would totally agree with the law angle - except now he's a hardware store owner and Lincoln's grades weren't crash-hot in high school. I kind of wanted to have him still meet (and be partnered) with Robert, just in a different section of public authority for a couple of years.

Love the way they pronounce po-lice in that show - or how in their mindset, it's homicide who equals true police *g*

Damn woman! I love how you write action.

I wonder... was a it a conscious decision on the part of the writers to change red!Lincoln's father from being a deceased jurist in S3 to a hardware store owner in S4? Or a miss that could be written off as inconsequential in the current timeline?

Wish I knew, because that question is driving me batshit.

I *know*. It's like a damn itch. I like to think my writers know their canon, but given how many they have on staff, *shrugs*, maybe it's something they overlooked, and then, like zip said, thought it didn't matter when everything's been re-written anyway.

*snorts*

He should be sitting beside Lincoln, gossiping about alternate world, crazy scientists, and braiding each other's hair.

lol - you're addicted to tumbler, just admit it. I think I'm going to have to set any future story I write around the 4:16 mark from now on, where the three of them were working together, throwing one another side-ways looks, and not afraid to tear off their shirts and expose…well, singlets…but you get the drift.
