I move back to the U.S. three weeks from today. Wow. I'm not quite sure what I think of that. Mostly I'm excited, I think, but it's a bittersweet kind of excitement because I will be leaving behind a lot of wonderful people and a way of life that I mostly love most of the time.

i can't even imagine! I'm having the same bittersweet feeling after only a month and a half! But at least you are returning to different people that you love... and the way of life is really just what you make of it...

everything is what you make of it. but there's something powerful about the collective conscious or whatever you call the thing that makes a certain place and its people have certain characteristics. when will you be leaving France?
